Pet Boarding Agreement
1. Boarding Requirements
• No unneutered or unspayed dogs will be accepted.• Dogs that exhibit excessive humping behavior will not be accepted.• Hyperactive dogs that are unable to remain calm indoors will not be accepted.• Dogs over 30 pounds will not be permitted.
All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella.
Dogs must be on flea and tick prevention.
2. Business Hours & Drop-Off/Pick-Up Policy
• Our business hours are from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
No drop-offs or pick-ups are permitted before 9:00 AM or after 8:00 PM.
• Repeated disregard for this policy may result in termination of services.
3. Health and Behavior
The owner confirms that their dog is in good health, does not have any contagious conditions, and does not display aggressive behavior toward people or other animals.
Dogs showing signs of illness, aggression, or behavioral issues may be denied entry or sent home at the owner's expense.
4. Payment and Cancellation Policy
• The rate is $60 per 24-hour boarding interval.
There is a 2-hour grace period after the 24-hour mark for pick-up.
• If pick-up occurs after the 2-hour grace period, a half-day rate of $30 will be applied.• If pick-up occurs more than 8 hours after the 24-hour mark, the full-day rate of $60 will be applied.• Full payment is due at the time of drop-off unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.
5. Refusal of Service
Shag To Swag reserves the right to deny admittance to any pet for any reason, at any time.
6. Veterinarian Care
I agree to allow Shag To Swag to obtain veterinarian medical treatment for my pet if, in its sole discretion, it appears that the pet is ill, injured, or requires treatment. I authorize such transportation and medical care, and I agree to be fully responsible for all associated costs.
7. Veterinarian Liability
While we take great care in supervising all pets and strive to provide a safe, well-monitored environment, you acknowledge that accidents may still occur and that such events are not the result of negligence by Shag To Swag.
I assume all risk of illness, disease, or harm to my pet by allowing participation in services at Shag To Swag.
I agree to hold Shag To Swag harmless in relation to all medical decisions and care.
• If my pet is injured by another pet, I release Shag To Swag from all liability.
If my pet bites a human or pet, Shag To Swag may contact appropriate authorities.
8. Transportation
I agree that if my pet is transported by Shag To Swag or its representatives, I will hold them harmless for any injury or accident during transportation.
9. Owner/Guardian Representation
I represent that I am the owner and/or authorized guardian of my pet and am fully authorized to enter into this agreement.
10. Agreement Term
This agreement applies to all boarding stays unless updated or terminated in writing by either party.
11. Dog Daycare
I understand Shag To Swag is a cage-free facility with interactive playgroups.
• Minor scratches or injuries may occur and may go unnoticed before departure.
12. Abandonment Notice
If my pet is not picked up within 14 calendar days after the scheduled departure date, it will be deemed abandoned.
• Shag To Swag may rehome or surrender the pet to a legal shelter.
I will remain financially responsible and will have no recourse if I abandon my pet.
13. Photo and Video Release
I allow Shag To Swag to use my pet’s name, images, and videos for any marketing, media, or promotional use.
14. Personal Property
Shag To Swag is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property belonging to me or my pet.
• Collars, including flea collars, may be removed in play areas for safety.
15. GPS Collars
GPS collars should be removed prior to entering the facility.
• Shag To Swag is not liable for lost GPS collars.
16. Early Departure
Payment for the full reserved stay is required, even if the pet is picked up early.
17. Duty to Disclose
I agree to fully disclose any medical or behavioral issues affecting my pet’s ability to participate in services.
18. Controversy or Claim
Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
• The prevailing party is entitled to attorneys fees and arbitration costs.
19. Waiver, Release, and Indemnification
I release, waive, discharge, indemnify, and agree to hold Shag To Swag Grooming and Boarding LLC, its owners, directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any and all manner of damages, injuries, illnesses, or death to my pet, as well as claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorneys fees), causes of action or suits in law or equity, arising out of or related to the services provided by Shag To Swag. This includes, but is not limited to:
• 1. Any inaccuracy in any statement made by me or information provided by me to Shag To Swag.• 2. Any acts or behaviors of my pet, including but not limited to destruction of property, dog bites, injury, illness, or death to my pet, or transmission of disease.• 3. Any action or omission by me that is a breach of the terms of this agreement.
20. Sole Agreement
This document constitutes the full agreement between Shag To Swag and the pet owner/guardian.
21. Affirmation
By bringing my pet to Shag To Swag, I reaffirm this agreement and the truthfulness of the information provided.
22. Severability
If any portion of this agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remainder shall still be in full effect.
